RSS Feed

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a method of formatting data, such as blogs, news headlines and multimedia files, into individually summarized RSS documents or feeds. These feeds commonly contain specific content in the form of text, audio and video for Internet circulation and consumption by the web viewing/browsing public.
RSS is an XML-based format that is read, updated and distributed by software applications, known as RSS readers, to the subscriber’s computer or cellular device. Most recently updated web browsers are able to view RSS feeds in addition to several computer and cell phone-based standalone programs. RSS feed subscriptions eliminate the need to visit a website on a reoccurring basis to retrieve current news, headlines and events.
